Devi Kroell, the accessories designer with cult following debuted her second womenswear collection to critical acclaim. Kroell’s Fall 2009 Collection included architectural elements in signature luxury fabrics that included lamb fur, silks, and jewel-toned knits. Lead makeup artist Lisa Butler designed the makeup that centered upon flawless, perfect skin for the New York woman who travels from the office into the evening with elegance and style. Lisa Butler led the Temptu team by first applying Temptu S/B foundation all over the face to achieve a minimalist and elegant palette. Then the focus was on the eyes with Temptu S/B in Light Putty airbrushed on the crease for a bold yet soft eye, finished with a feathery black eye line. Lips were left moisturized and cheeks bare, the look were soft, matte and minimalist for fall.

This week at New York Fashion Week Fall is trending hard with signs of the times, the fall looks are heavy on the eyes with bold strokes of color and strong lips. The Temptu Pro team led by lead makeup artist JP McCary, painted downtown designer and fashion insider favorite Catherine Holstein’s models a lighter shade of Goth. Catherine Holstein described her fall theme as casual and glamorous “girls passing along the night”. To compliment heather grays, plums, plaid flannels and ubiquitous yet perennial gothic black, the Temptu Pro team airbrushed Temptu S/B foundation on models a couple shades lighter than their bronzed counterparts, then airbrushed soft black to create an elegant gothic smoky eye, accentuated by a liquid line of black. The look was topped by a plum black lip that is popping up all over fashion week, sure to be fall’s next big trend.
Here’s how Temptu did it:
1. S/B Foundation for the skin –airbrush one shade lighter than complexion
2. S/B Airbrow in Dark Brown airbrushed in the crease
3. Top and Bottom lashes
4. Combination black and purple tones for lips with gloss
5. Final touch – S/B Invisible Difference Powder for a matte finish
