Dressed To Kilt Fashion Show

  The Colors of Scotland will be showing this coming Monday, March 30th as the 6th Annual Dress to Kilt Fashion Show hits Manhattan and Temptu will be there airbrushing the makeup!  The Dress to Kilt runway show is one of the most anticipated events of the year hosted by Sir Sean Connery and known for drawing A-list personalities and bold-faced names.  This year’s designers include Vivenne Westwood and Vivenne Tam and celebrity guest appearances by Susan Lucci, Brendan Fraser, Andie MacDowell, Ed Weschick, and Donald Trump.  All procedes will benefit the Paralyzed Veterans of America and its Scottish equivanlent, the Erskine Hospital of Scotland. 

Temptu at America’s Beauty Show

This weekend Temptu will be exhibiting at one of the largest beauty shows in the country, America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. This past Sunday, over a million readers in Southern California and beyond read about Temptu at The Makeup Show LA produced by The Powder Group in the Los Angeles Times’ Image Section. Temptu is across 20 pages of W’s April Issue on newsstands now! Makeup artist extraordinaire Lisa Butler did the makeup for a fashion editorial shot by world famous fashion photographer team Ines van Lamsveerde and Vinoodh Matadin inspired by fashion icons Patti Smith and Greta Garbo. Clearly, this spring W shoot was inspired by the now famous Self Service Magazine that Temptu makeup made all the more inspiring.

Makeup Show LA

Temptu for Joanna Mastroianni, Fall 2009

Joanna Mastroianni debuted a collection of gowns and formal suits red carpet ready for both the grand dames and junior sets.  Drawing inspiration from Art Deco chinoiserie, Ms. Mastroianni’s designs included pagoda embroidered detail and lattice work trimming on LBD’s and lounge sets for anyone looking to add a little vintage drama. Temptu’s lead makeup artist JP McCary drew on the golden age of glamour for the makeup, and went heavy on the eyes with liner and shadow in addition to a strong contouring blush and ruby red lip for drama.

·         S/B Black liquid line around the eye, along upper lash line

Join Temptu Pro makeup artist Kristina Duff as she does a hands on 3 hour workshop and demonstration of Temptu’s award-winning Temptu S/B Airbrush makeup. Kristina will share beauty application tips and give instruction on advanced techniques of applying airbrush makeup for the high definition digital age. The workshop will focus on airbrush makeup techniques, color usage and mixing, contouring and highlighting, airbrushing eyes, lips, and cheeks, and a brief overview of Temptu airbrush equipment. She will discuss how to achieve various beauty effects with airbrush ranging from 50’s glamour to bronzed beach beauty, and also trends in red carpet beauty. Instructor Bio

L.A. based makeup artist Kristina Duff can be found working in the world of television, but don’t be surprised to find her on a commercial, film or editorial set. Airbrushing is among her specialties, whether she is creating a flawless face for beauty or a dead corpse for special FX, and she has used Temptu Airbrush as her go to choice for makeup in both television and photography for over 5 years.
