Highly defined brows may have been a big trend at the S/S 2011 GANT show but another rising trend in fashion is almost it’s complete opposite; the bleached brow look. For 2010, natural shapes may still the predominant eyebrow style; however, one thing has definitely taken a big turn is color. Bleached brows are popping up all over the place on the runway, in photo shoots, and even on America’s Next Top Model.
Whether you are working on a photo shoot, or just looking to try this look out yourself, knowing how to get the bleached brow look without the commitment of actually bleaching your brows is a valuable bit of knowledge that every makeup artist should know.
Getting the bleached brow look with TEMPTU PRO:
1. Start by applying S/B Primer on and around the brow area. This will help prime and perfect the skin, allowing for an even smoother makeup application.
2. Next use S/B Adjuster in 030 White to cover up the brow and set a natural base for the lighter brow color. You may have to apply more then one layer for darker brows.
3. Finally to get that bleached brow look, airbrush S/B Airbrow Color 064 Natural Blonde onto the brow area until desired color is achieved. If you want to lighten the color for a whiter, more dramatic effect, add a drop or two of our lighter S/B Foundation shades like, 001 Porcelain or 002 Blush Ivory to your gun’s cup.
Voila! You now have a bleached brow that’s runway-ready or picture perfect without the commitment of actually having to bleach your brows

New York Fashion week hit the runaways this past week with Spring 2011 collections. Check out what the TEMPTU PRO team did for Lorick using the TEMPTU AIRbrush Makeup System.
For Spring, the LORICK Collection was inspired by the late painter Agnes Martin with cool, light, minimal forms prevailing. As the designer Abigail Lorick explains, “The Lorick Lady should feel a strong and calming force from this collection.” Deanna Melluso, key makeup artist for TEMPTU PRO created a look that was clean, minimal with subtle and simple color, a “sunkissed city girl” for the Spring.
THE LOOK: * TEMPTU AIRpod Foundation for the skin for overall even tone – dewy and flawless * TEMPTU AIRpod Highlighter in Bronze on the outer edges of the apples of the cheeks for contour
and warm shimmer * TEMPTU AIRpod Blush in Peony (out in Spring 2011) on the apple of the cheeks as a pop of rosy color * TEMPTU RETOUCH in Translucent in the t-zone
Summer is coming to an end so quickly! What to do about keeping that sunkissed look year round without the sun filled days?
Here is a great way to add a bronzed glow to any client!
Airbrush correct S/B Foundation shade to the face
Mix S/B Foundation #009 and a tiny drop of S/B Adjuster in Violet
Lightly spray onto your client’s skin, focusing on the outer edges of the cheeks, forehead and a little across the nose, where sunlight naturally highlights the face
*This color is especially great for warming up the edges on your males clients, creating a little depth without the look of makeup or too much powder.
Enjoy the last bit of summer 2010!

Wow, it’s been a busy week! A 2 day photo shoot in Death Valley was intense with 120 degree heat, but working in the hot CA sun was a no-sweat job, thanks to my TEMPTU PRO S/B makeup!
This week’s tip:
How to pull off multiple looks with limited time without starting fresh.
1. Remove the makeup from the eye area with a makeup remover wipe (followed by a cotton pad with water to rid the skin of any remover residue)
2. Airbrush the base back on and blend back into the 1st layer of foundation.
3. It’s been my experience with other foundations that they don’t blend and the line is apparent similar to that if you chip you nail polish and try to fill it back in. TEMPTU PRO S/B Foundation is easier to blend, even if it is already set!!
4. Tap a little S/B Mixing Medium into the base that has already set if you want some extra blending room. Viola-the base is set and you’re ready to do your next look!
Enjoy these Summer days and don’t forget your SPF! Oh, if you weren’t sure, sun block should be applied between the moisturizer and the primer. Wait a few minutes for the SPF to set in and then apply your TEMPTU PRO S/BPrimer, followed by TEMPTU PRO S/B Foundation of course.

Working on So You Think YouCan Dance, Season 7, was both an honor and a pleasure!!!
Under the department head Amy Strozzi, I was able to put my talents to use on some pretty amazing faces!
TEMPTU PROS/B is the only foundation I have in my kit. I generally airbrush on all my gigs, but sometimes I play around with other techniques.
Have you ever just brushed on the S/B foundation??? Well that’s what I did here, for Lauren G of the All Star Team. I applied her makeup 6 hours prior to when this photo was taken…
If you ever find yourself in a pinch without a compressor or perhaps working a gig where they prefer you to use traditional makeup application techniques (or if the director specifically asks you to use something really sheer….brushing on the S/B formula will give you a BEAUTIFUL result! You can lightly apply for sheer or add layers for a full, yet skin like coverage.
I started with prepping her skin….toner, eye cream, moisturizer…and PRIMER (don’t forget your TEMPTUPROS/B Primer)!! Then I went to town with S/B foundation #6 on a palette and a brush in my hand.
VIOLA!!!! Enjoy this new tip and have a FABULOUS FRIDAY!!!!
We’ll tell you ours… TEMPTU’sSilicone based formulas!

Comic-Con, held annually in San Diego for over 40 years, started off about comic books but for the past few years it has evolved into a new source for movies, television, video games, toys, and of course, the costumes.
The range of characters and attention to detail is mind blowing. Characters from movies often have better costumes than the ones seen on screen. It all depends on how much time, money, and creativity can be put into it. There was no shortage of Stormtroopers, with varying levels of quality. My favorite was a fellow who had done his armor with paper plates and a white bucket! Genius. Why not have fun and be silly with it?
Comic-Con also has become a mecca for all things ZOMBIE. This year included a zombie walk, but the real buzz at the convention was about Frank Darabont’s new series on AMC, The Walking Dead.
Based on the series of graphic novels by Robert Kirkman, Walking Dead chronicles the survival of Sherif Rick Grimes and his family in a world of zombies. Conventioneers were treated to a preview and panel, showcasing the fantastic F/X makeup work of Greg Nicotero and crew.
Much to the chagrin of local industry, the series shoots in Georgia, and features zombies made up in 100+ degree heat! Nicotero elaborated on this, emphasizing the need for numerous touch ups. Various zombies were even hired to promote the show on the streets around San Diego. Look for the premier this October.
