This past weekend the first ever IMATS New York was held at 82 Mercer in Soho.  The TEMPTU PRO team was there to experience this momentous occasion first hand.  We were happy to welcome the makeup and special effects expertise of Jonah Levy both at the TEMPTU PRO booth, and on the Open Forum Stage.  After his amazing Zombieland demo, we took a few moments to sit Jonah down and ask him a few questions about his inspirations, favorite projects, and what he thought about IMATS’s New York debut.

As a culture we always strive for clean, clean hair, clean face, clean clothes etc.  We sometimes forget just how beautiful and sexy dirty can be, and not Christina Aguilera’s “dirty”.  We’re talking about dirt, mud, grease, grime, and just overall mess.  We’re not afraid to smear a little dirt over that flawless face for some added drama and texture.  So this Monday get a little dirty with us!

Let’s face it, when it comes to day-to-day makeup subtle and slightly understated is usually the way we go.  However, every once and a while everybody needs to get a little crazy with their makeup.  Maybe you want to channel your inner Gaga or Ke$ha the next time you go out, or maybe you just want to play around with new ideas at home.  Whatever the reason it’s always good to let loose a little and get inventive with your makeup.  Hope you enjoy this little walk on the wild side.

Help TEMPTU Contribute to Disaster Relief in Japan

Over the past week we have all been following the tragedy that has hit the people of Japan.  In the wake of this disaster, it is our job as not only a nation but members of the human race to step up and help in any way possible.  In order to do our part TEMPTU will donate $100 from every online sale from both our consumer and professional divisions that include the AIRbrush Makeup System and TEMPTU PRO Compressors and Kits.  The donation period will be effective immediately starting today through March 31, 2011. All collected funds will go directly to the American Red Cross for Japan relief efforts.

The time has finally come to officially reveal the makeup artists that created Lady Gaga‘s skeleton look for Born This Way!  What better way to tell you then via video?

NEWS FLASH: Lady Gaga wears TEMPTU PRO in Born This Way Video

Yesterday the world was wowed with the debut of Lady Gaga’s music video for her hit song “Born this Way”.   During the shoot, the TEMPTU PRO Team was backstage transforming Lady Gaga into her “Day of the Dead” character with TEMPTU PRO DURA Ink and Body Liner in Pro Transfer.  Which TEMPTU PRO makeup artists worked their magic on this look?  How was this look created?  You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!
