Rent, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning musical, recently debut at the Hollywood Bowl as part of the Weekend Spectaculars…or as we locals say, bringing Broadway to the West!

Starring some of Hollywood’s favorites, the cast included Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, Wayne Brady, and rising star Aaron Tveit, from Gossip Girls. The production was directed by veteran actor Neil Patrick Harris, also once a cast member.

To add to Tveti’s lead as the bohemian, rocker and songwriter, Roger, costume designer Angela Wendt and Makeup Department Head, Barry Lee, used TEMPTU PRO Rock and Tribal Tattoos.

TIGI ROCKAHOLIC TOUR at NAIMIES with TEMPTU PRO

Yesterday was a rocking Monday at Naimie’s Beauty Center in North Hollywood as patrons gathered to eat, dance, get haircuts AND tattoos…all for a good cause!   Naimie’s paired up TIGI’s Rockaholic Tour to help sponsor local charity, Atta Girl, Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services and support to women in transition, including victims of domestic violence, and young girls emancipated from the foster care system.

The event included $25 haircuts, a silent auction, and food provided by the infamous Grilled Cheese Truck.

V66: The Sexy Body Issue

Oh summertime! July, the hottest month of the summer, is appropriately fitting for V Magazine’s The Sexy Body Issue. Among the 50 featured hot bodies, New York based MUA, Ralph Siliciano, had a hand in crafting two of the sexist looks. 

You might have to look closely to see, but the female model’s soccer jersey is 100%  painted on! The design, as well as the tattoo, were a combination of hand applied and airbrush techniques using TEMPTU PRO DURA inks. That’s hot!

Rock star for a day? Samantha Jones does it, it’s your turn….

Samantha Jones, the bold and sexy character of the hot new film, Sex and the City 2 played by Kim Cattrall lets out her inner punk-rock princess. ROCK OF AGES Contest Winner Tattooed with Temptu

The Broadway musical, ROCK OF AGES, honored one of its most devoted fans, Gavin Knox, who was the winner of ‘Deck the Halls Extreme Rock’ contest.  The production invited fans to a challenge where they had to submit a performance video of the holiday carol sung in the rockin’ style of the hit show. At the performance curtain call, the winning package was presented to Knox on stage while he introduced the audience to the show in his newly applied Temptu Tattoo’s which were put on backstage by the shows makeup artist.  His Tattoo’s were the exact Temptu Tattoo’s featured in the show.

TEMPTU on Richard Gere for Brooklyn’s Finest

Personal makeup artist for Richard Gere LuAnn Claps used TEMPTU tattoos designed by painter and tattoo artist Patrick Conlin from NYC’s Eastside Ink on Richard Gere for the film that premieres tonight Brooklyn’s Finest.  Richard’s character Eddie will be sporting a tough as nails hammerhead shark and marine tattoo for the film.  Keep your eyes peeled because the tattoos make an appearance in a very intimate scene.  Richard Gere’s still got it and TMEPTU’s all over it!

A playful photo booth composites visitor portraits with artwork from a museum’s collection and archives the results for the community to browse.

This free-standing installation in the Portland Art Museum was deployed in concert with the museum’s exhibition Marking Portland: the Art of Tattoo. Integrated into an alcove adjacent to one of the busiest thoroughfares in the museum, this two-sided experience literally merges the museum’s community and collection.
