We are so excited for IMATS New York! Not only will we be holding a Special F/X Class taught by Jonah Levy, but our head educator Dani Fonseca will also be teaching a class on Basic F/X and Temporary Tattoos.
The class will be held on the Open Forum Stage this Saturday from 2:45 -3:45 PM.
In this class you’ll learn how to create special make-up effects and temporary tattoos with TEMPTU PRO’s award-winning Dura Palettes and Inks. Fresh off of creating Lady Gaga’s Born this Way Skeleton look, Dani will be covering professional techniques used in feature films such as Zombieland, Cape Fear and Crybaby and TV shows such as Prison Break, The Sopranos and CSI.
This Sunday from 12:15 – 1:15 PM at IMATS New York, TEMPTU PRO will be hosting a Special F/X Class taught by zombie master Jonah Levy.

With IBS NY over (recap tomorrow) it’s time for the TEMPTU PRO Team to head over to the Windy City. That’s right! It’s time again for America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. This year on top of the usual plethora of classes offered at ABS, The Makeup Show will be on the scene sponsoring several workshops, including an airbrush class by TEMPTU PRO. In this Airbrush Beginner class, TEMPTU PRO’s Levi Vieira will review airbrush equipment, and key airbrushing techniques for beauty and body makeup. This class is perfect for hair stylists or makeup artists that need to know how to bring in a money making makeup service to the salon or freelance skill set.
Also at ABS this year is the newest edition to our S/B Makeup line, the S/B Multicolors. We’ll be demoing these new fabulous shades all weekend at the booth. So stop by booth #3105 and see them in action!

We had a great turnout this past weekend at The Makeup Show LA. TEMPTU PRO launched a new selection of 12 S/B Multicolors for cheeks, lips, AND eyes. Teal was the hands down show favorite, with Lavender, Wine, and Platinum close behind.
Every year it seems that IMATS London gets bigger and bigger. With more vendors and attendees than ever before, 2011 far surpassed previous years. The show, which is thrown by the renowned Makeup Artist Magazine at Alexandra Palace, featured some of the world’s most talented artists in the industry.
Non-stop crowds, and a packed Sunday class of 56 people (standing room only!) easily made this year’s show our best yet at ISSE. TEMPTU PRO makeup artists Levi Vieira, Eloisa Barreto, and Jackie Fan worked their airbrush magic on many trade show attendees. The star of the show, however, was our TEMPTU PRO S/B Airbrush Makeup!

2010 marked the second year that The International Makeup Artist Tradeshow, aka IMATS, held their tradeshow in Toronto. This year’s show was even more action packed for the TEMPTU PRO team!
Makeup artist and TEMPTU PRO trainer Danielle Fonseca lead a seminar on Saturday featuring airbrushing techniques for the runway. Dani showcased three of Spring’s hottest looks right off of the runways of the Herve Leger, Lorick, and Wayne 2011 shows.
Special F/X makeup artist, and author of Hurt ‘Em Reel Good, Randy Daudlin lead a seminar earlier in the day titled “Anatomy of a Broken Nose”. Our Pro Palettes were featured as one of Daudlin’s favorite products to achieve a perfect broken nose for TV and film.
Two of our favorite beauty bloggers, EnKore Makeup and Pursebuzz, showed their love for us by featuring TEMPTU PRO products in their IMATS trivia game.
What a weekend! Special thanks to the students of Complexions Makeup School, who lent a helping hand at our booth. We can’t wait until next year!
Last weekend at IMATS I did two at the TEMPTU PRO booth to show simple special effects with beauty showcasing the TEMPTU PRO DURAMetallics, as well as using a range of TEMPTU PRO products from S/B to DURA in palettes and airbrush form.
Lizard Woman – inspired by the 80s television series V. I life casted Kelly’s face and made a small vinyl prosthetic from a sculpt and mold prior to the show.
Step by Step:
Apply “lizard eye” contact lens to right eye
Apply prosthetic around right eye using Pros-Aide adhesive
Airbrush DURAEmerald Green and Teal on lizard portion of prosthetic
Airbrush DURABlush Ivory and Ivory onto “ripped skin” portion of the prosthetic
Airbrush S/BGreen Adjuster onto eyelid, hand brush up to lash line
Hand brush a small amount of S/B Concealer Wheel color mixed with S/B Mixing Medium onto face
Airbrush a light S/B Foundation onto face around prosthetic
Highlight with airbrushed S/BPink Pearl
Airbrush a mixture of S/BNectar and Guava Blush
Finish with eyeliner pencil and hand applied lip color.

IMATS LA are back and headed to the Pasadena Convention Center June 26th and 27th. The IMATS attracts more makeup television and film industry professionals than any other show of it’s kind and TEMPTU PRO will exhibiting.

The 2010 Makeup Show NYC was an event to be remembered. Held the 16th and 17th of May at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea New York. Many of the top players in the beauty and fashion industries were in attendance. For the fifth year this tradeshow proved to be in a class of it’s own. Attendees flew in from around to world to view the most up-to-the-minute products, technology and techniques being used and launched throughout the beauty industry. TEMPTU PRO, a consistent leader in creating innovative and cutting-edge products, held a strong presence in the production of the event, being a platinum sponsor. The launch of new S/B Pro Blush Colors was a huge hit selling out within the first day. Temptu professionals also offered training with demonstrations at the booth and formal informative presentations.

One of Temptu’s very own makeup specialists, Danielle Fonesca, gave a keynote speech on Editorial Airbrushing. Click herefor more on information on Danielle (Dani). It was a riveting and exciting demonstration of how and why airbrush makeup is not only the best, but quite clearly the only way to achieve the results longed for in the industry In only 45 minutes, Danielle was able to create three distinct fashion-forward looks on one model. For the first editorial look she created a neutral bridal look, creating the flawless “without makeup look”, a current trend in the industry according to several outlets such as Marie Claire Magazine. After finishing this look, Danielle moved on to a more high fashion dramatic look by adding a smoky eye, black brow, contoured skin and a nude lip. Continuing to build upon the previous layers of airbrush makeup, Danielle created an avant-garde high fashion avant-garde look with the use of both bright green and yellow hi-pigment color for the eyes. This is a look seen on the runways and reminiscent of the high voltage color palate of the 80s.
This was a great success for Temptu Pro, as well as all of those present. With industry professionals mingling, able to come together for a similar cause in one space, The Makeup Show shaped a space for learning, observation and just plain fun. The energy was high and the exhilaration in the air was strong. Temptu continues to be at the forefront of the makeup industry’s advanced technologies and is always on the hunt for more expertise. As such, Temptu Pro looks as though they won’t be settling for anything less than success in the coming years.
This weekend the Temptu Pro team will be in Chicago for America’s Beauty show, taking place at the McCormick Center. With some of the biggest brands in hair, makeup and skincare, this is every beauty addicts dream! Temptu Pro will be at booth 427 doing live demonstrations and offering great deals just for the show. If your in New York City this weekend, come by one of the largest beauty shows in the country, the International Beauty Show being held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The show runs from March 7-9th and Temptu Pro will be on hand doing live demos at the booth and offering special tradeshow discounts. Trainer Danielle Fonseca will also be leading a seminar on Bridal Airbrush Artistry on Monday at 2:00 p.m..
