It’s theater season, and this year you can find TEMPTU PRO temporary tattoos in no less than 4 Broadway shows! Earlier this week you saw our tattoos for American Idiot showcased on WABC New York’s Backstage Broadway Preview. However, 2010 is far from being the first year that our temporary tattoos have graced the skin of the fine actors and actresses of Broadway. In the spirit of the season we decided to share some of our favorite appearances on the Broadway Stage.
TEMPTU was featured Saturday on WABC New York Backstage Broadway Preview previewing the top shows to hit the stage this Fall Season. WABC’s reporters and Bernadette Peters go backstage for Green Day’s American Idiot stage show to speak with the makeup designers and TEMPTU PRO’s own Jenai Chin to talk tattoos, TEMPTU temporary tattoos. The segment includes an interview with Stark Sands the star of the show and why he loves wearing TEMPTU PRO temporary tattoos. Click on the video image to watch the segment.
American Idiot is the biggest sensation to hit Broadway in years. With songs from the creators Green Day there is no wonder why critics have called this musical a masterpiece and a must see show.
Our blog broke the news of the custom tatts that TEMPTU PRO made for the American Idiot stage production, now get a sneak peak in this week’s Rolling Stone Magazine (April 29, 2010) at both the character tattoos and cast members in the Motorola advertisement announcing the partnership with the Broadway play. Last night TEMPTU PRO was on hand to celebrate the brand new Broadway production American Idiot written by the rock band Green Day. TEMPTU PRO Airbrush Tattoo Artists, Jenai Chin and Adrian Reamey, tatted guests with custom designed tattoos during the Premiere Afterparty at the Roseland Ballroom. Crowds were lined up to get the custom designed Temptu tattoo — American Idiot album artwork of a fist holding a grenade heart.
A Broadway backstage secret, TEMPTU PRO transfers and stencils are all over the cast to help them “get into character”. Remember makeup is not just the blush on one’s cheeks!
