The secret is finally out! Temptu is launching a consumer line with Sephora this Fall! Recently the staff was able to unvail the new line at a press event held in New York City. The response was amazing, as beauty editors and bloggers were able to have a Temptu Artist color match thier skin and then use the system on themselves. Watch out for us on Sephora.com starting in August!

Black Eyed Peas on the Cover of Angeleno Magazine

Los Angeles Makeup Artist Nikki Carbonetta used Temptu on The Black Eyed Peas for the cover story of Angeleno’s June 2009 Issue.

The Black Eyed Peas talk about their first studio album in four years, The E.N.D. out this summer featuring hot dance tracks and elecro-beats for the summer.

Dura and Lace on a Pretty Face

LA’s favorite underground air brusher and Temptu Dura aficionado, Adam Tenenbaum, is no longer our little secret!   Actually, Loree Rodkin knew him well before us and the affinity is clear to see through the pair’s delicate and well crafted designs.  Adam has collaborated with Rodkin on several of her ad campaigns.  Rodkin’s jewelry has adorned many a celebrity, including Madonna, Mary J Blige, and most recently, Michelle Obama.  She has even launched her own eyewear collection known as Eye Couture by Sama.

This show is considered one of the largest Professional Shows in the world, with over 80 exhibitors including schools and both beauty and special effects makeup brands. Nurse Jackie: Spotlighting the Pros

To much success, Showtime just launched the new dramedy series, Nurse Jackie, starring Eddie Falco.   The show depicts a very compent but self medicating ER nurse.   Of course with the backdrop of a hospital, special effects are not far behind.   Temptu had the chance to sit down with the makeup FX designer, Vincent Schicchi as he commented on his favorite Temptu Dura Pro Palettes:

“I’ve enjoyed the Frozen Palette:  frozen, frost, deep bruise, and gangrene are great for many different “dead” looks.   The Grease and Grime palette is also extemely useful. I’ve used it many times to simulate all sorts of dirt. The colors are very accurate, and it has a very varied assortment, including one of my favorites, rust. I find that the grease color is perfect for any industrial look and the mud and marsh are great”

Kristina Duff does Angela Kinsey for the Tonight Show

Kristina Duff, Temptu trainer and airbrush expert not to mention celebrity makeup artist, was on the new Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien backstage doing Angela Kinsey’s makeup. Angela Kinsey may be better known as Angela Martin from NBC’s The Office. Watch Angela’s transformation from everyday gal to airbrushed comedy television star, as Angela escorts us behind the scenes backstage.

Tattooing for a Worthy Cause

On May 23rd a crowd of 300 gathered in Fullerton California at “In the Skin” Tattoo Parlor to help raise money for great cause…Hannah Powell-Auslam is the youngest girl (at age 10) to have breast cancer. A slew of tattoo artists and our friends at Standing Room Only donated their time and talents to tattoo or airbrush pink ribbons on friends, family members, and all those who attended to help support Hannah. Here are some of the photos by artist Debbie Salcedo-Tong from Standing Room Only. Debbie is a master with the airbrush and her cute stencil designs were a big hit! All tattoos were airbrushed with Temptu Dura.

America’s favorite sneaker steps out in Temptu’s Aqua Makeup on the streets of London Town and Venice, Italy in Converse’s Heavy Metal Holiday!

Black Metal never looked so good! 

Here’s how to apply Death Corpse Metal makeup by makeup artist, Ava Scanlan.

1.  Airbrush Aqua White #30 as base color for the face.

2.  Apply Aqua Black #29 using makeup brush around the eyes, lips and nostrils.

3. Drip Aqua Black from the bottle directly to the corners of the eyes and lips.

Lucent Dossier at Coachella

Temptu’s favorite roaming cabaret tribe - LA’s Lucent Dossier – did a special performance at Coachella alongside musical greats The Cure, Paul McCartney and My Bloody Valentine. What better way to celebrate record 115 degree lows in the desert than with a midnight water performance. Lucent Dossier performers put Temptu Dura to the test withstanding unprecedented sweat and submerged underwater performances!
