Lets face it, Spring can be a hard season. One day it’s sunny and beautiful out, the next day it’s cold, damp, and raining like crazy. The warm weather and sunshine is so close we can almost taste it! To bring a little color back into April we decided to look on the bright side of beauty, and showcase some amazing vivid and neon makeup. Enjoy!
Yesterday you read Jonah’s impressions, experience, and favorite finds at the first ever IMATS New York. To get to know Jonah a little deeper TEMPTU PRO asked him about his favorite projects, artistic inspirations, and upcoming work.
This past weekend the first ever IMATS New York was held at 82 Mercer in Soho. The TEMPTU PRO team was there to experience this momentous occasion first hand. We were happy to welcome the makeup and special effects expertise of Jonah Levy both at the TEMPTU PRO booth, and on the Open Forum Stage. After his amazing Zombieland demo, we took a few moments to sit Jonah down and ask him a few questions about his inspirations, favorite projects, and what he thought about IMATS’s New York debut.
Nothing says Spring like flowers, pinks, and dreamy romantic images. In honor of the light, airy, romantic feeling that Spring evokes we’re bringing on the romance for today’s eye candy.
We are so excited for IMATS New York! Not only will we be holding a Special F/X Class taught by Jonah Levy, but our head educator Dani Fonseca will also be teaching a class on Basic F/X and Temporary Tattoos.

In this class you’ll learn how to create special make-up effects and temporary tattoos with TEMPTU PRO’s award-winning Dura Palettes and Inks. Fresh off of creating Lady Gaga’s Born this Way Skeleton look, Dani will be covering professional techniques used in feature films such as Zombieland, Cape Fear and Crybaby and TV shows such as Prison Break, The Sopranos and CSI.
This Sunday from 12:15 – 1:15 PM at IMATS New York, TEMPTU PRO will be hosting a Special F/X Class taught by zombie master Jonah Levy.

Who doesn’t love a bit of the dramatic? Makeup is all about expressing yourself and experimentation. Slightly inspired by Katy Perry’s “E.T” music video makeup we thought that today’s eye candy should be a little out of this world. Enjoy!
One of our most active tweeting and Facebook posting Makeup Artists, Griselle Rosario, shared this flawless editorial shoot she worked on for Matte Magazine. To give model Karin Agstam her porcelain doll skin, Griselle airbrushed her skin with TEMPTU PRO’s S/B Foundations in 001 Porcelain and 002 Blush Ivory. For Karin’s pinky flush and shadow, Griselle used a combination of S/B Highlighters in 050 Pink Pearl and 055 Champagne Shimmer, and S/B Blush in 045 Peony. We just love this Berry Sweet spread. It’s totally putting us in the mood for all things Spring! Read the rest of this entry »

As a culture we always strive for clean, clean hair, clean face, clean clothes etc. We sometimes forget just how beautiful and sexy dirty can be, and not Christina Aguilera’s “dirty”. We’re talking about dirt, mud, grease, grime, and just overall mess. We’re not afraid to smear a little dirt over that flawless face for some added drama and texture. So this Monday get a little dirty with us!
Celebrity Makeup Artist Steven Arturo does Willow Smith’s makeup for the cover of the London Times. Check out Steven’s TEMPTU PRO shout-outs on the cover of the London Sunday Times, as well as in the behind the scenes video!
Let’s face it, when it comes to day-to-day makeup subtle and slightly understated is usually the way we go. However, every once and a while everybody needs to get a little crazy with their makeup. Maybe you want to channel your inner Gaga or Ke$ha the next time you go out, or maybe you just want to play around with new ideas at home. Whatever the reason it’s always good to let loose a little and get inventive with your makeup. Hope you enjoy this little walk on the wild side.
Over the past week we have all been following the tragedy that has hit the people of Japan. In the wake of this disaster, it is our job as not only a nation but members of the human race to step up and help in any way possible. In order to do our part TEMPTU will donate $100 from every online sale from both our consumer and professional divisions that include the AIRbrush Makeup System and TEMPTU PRO Compressors and Kits. The donation period will be effective immediately starting today through March 31, 2011. All collected funds will go directly to the American Red Cross for Japan relief efforts.
A word from our President and CEO, Michael Benjamin, “This is a global crisis that needs help from all sectors; we at TEMPTU are committed to raising and donating funds to support our overseas colleagues and the people of Japan in relief and rebuilding efforts.”
The time has finally come to officially reveal the makeup artists that created Lady Gaga‘s skeleton look for Born This Way! What better way to tell you then via video?

Willow Smith’s wardrobe for her Teen Vogue shoot may have been inspired by her dad’s “fresh” past, but her makeup was all TEMPTU PRO. Want to snag this hip-hop princess’ look? Airbrush our S/B Blush in 045 Peony onto the apples of the cheeks, and then line the eyes with a combination of S/B Hi-Def in 026 Blue and our NEW S/B Multicolor in 072 Teal.
Green isn’t your typical go-to beauty color. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day we thought getting green was not only appropriate, but totally necessary. Skip the corned beef and cabbage this Thursday and get your green on instead! Here’s a little inspiration to get your creative juices flowing.
With IBS NY over (recap tomorrow) it’s time for the TEMPTU PRO Team to head over to the Windy City. That’s right! It’s time again for America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. This year on top of the usual plethora of classes offered at ABS, The Makeup Show will be on the scene sponsoring several workshops, including an airbrush class by TEMPTU PRO. In this Airbrush Beginner class, TEMPTU PRO’s Levi Vieira will review airbrush equipment, and key airbrushing techniques for beauty and body makeup. This class is perfect for hair stylists or makeup artists that need to know how to bring in a money making makeup service to the salon or freelance skill set.
Also at ABS this year is the newest edition to our S/B Makeup line, the S/B Multicolors. We’ll be demoing these new fabulous shades all weekend at the booth. So stop by booth #3105 and see them in action!
